as I thank the day and rise from the sheets.
The critters always great with a stretch and a yawn
before prancing on and on
about the joy of waking to another dawn.

So glad I get to see
negativity just doesn’t exist
among the canine and feline friends we enlist
who fulfill a role and enrich the soul
with loving blessings
from the morning lessons
on how to better be
happy, joyous and free.
